Version2.1
Placeholder content. This is a structural draft. The final policy will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.

1 ·What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Jobless collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our services. By using Jobless, you agree to the practices described in this document.

This policy applies to all users — Free, Pro, and University plan members — across our website, web application, and email communications.

2 ·What we collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the service. Specifically:

  • Account data — your email, username, password hash, and authentication method.
  • CV and application content — the resumes, cover letters, job descriptions, and interview answers you submit to the platform.
  • Usage data — feature usage counts, generation events, and timestamps required for free-tier limits and billing.
  • Device data — browser type, IP address, and approximate location, used only for fraud prevention and analytics.

3 ·How we use your data

Your data is used to operate the service you signed up for — generating tailored CVs, scoring interview answers, and tracking your applications. We do not sell your data, share it with recruiters, or use it to train third-party AI models.

Anonymised, aggregated metrics may be used to improve our scoring models and publish industry reports.

4 ·Your rights

Under GDPR and UK data protection law, you can request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or export it at any time. Account deletion is permanent and processed within 30 days, including backup purges.

5 ·Contact

For any privacy-related question, write to privacy@jobless.app. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
